Underage Sacrificial Animal Found in South Jakarta

A number of sacrificial animals in a shelter located at Jalan TB Simatupang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, were examined. As a result, officers found underage cow.

"There is one underage cow found, as it is still under 2 years old," said Head of South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department (KPKP), Sri Hartati, Thursday (9/10).

According to her, the animal does not meet the requirement to be sacrificed. Thus it was marked with cross. " And we marked it with cross on its body. Thus citizens know that it doesn't meet the requirement," she uttered.

1,000 Sacrificial Animals, Cows in East Jakarta Examined

She disclosed, animal shelters that have been checked will be pasted with sticker. The sticker is written with number and condition of the animals in the shelter. "For sick animals will be cured. Eventually the examination result will be written on the sticker," she disclosed.

Her party will keep conducting examination towards some shelters spread in 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta. "Since yesterday all examination of sacrificial animal is conducted simultaneously until September 23," she closed.
